¤ Golconda Fort The Golconda Fort was established by the Yadava dynasty of Deogiri and Kakatiyas of Warangal and today it is one of the most popular tourist attraction of Hyderabad. This fort was named after the Telugu word "Golla Konda" which means "Shephard's Hill". It was earlier a mud fort and the Golconda received its present form by Qutub Shahi kings. Today, it stands with a massive structure of granite.

¤ Charminar

The Charminar is a popular landmark of the famous Hyderabad places. It was constructed by Mohd. Quli Qutub Shah in the year 1591 in order to mark the end of plague in the city. This symbolic monument has four dominating minarets each 54 meters high. They are adorned with carved lotus buds and petals. There is also a mosque here.

The Mecca Masjid at Hyderabad is located very near from Charminar. This mosque was established by Sultan Mohd. Qutub Shah in 1614 and its construction was completed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1694. It is famous as the biggest mosque in South India. It is also known for the arch of the mosque which has been built by the bricks brought from the sacred city of Mecca. There are tombs of Asaf Jahi rulers in the abutting chamber of the mosque.

It was founded during the reign of Ibrahim Qutub Shah, by Hussain shah Wali, in 1562. The unique feature of this lake is a statue of Lord Buddha with an height of 18 meter and weight of 350 ton. It is located on the rock of Gibraltar in the middle of the Lake.
