India has its tourist offices all over the world, and the states of
India have tourist offices in Delhi. The efficiency of a state office
depends upon the number of tourists it caters to. For example, the
tourist offices of the popular states of Uttar Pradesh and Himachal

Various state tourism authorities run chains of tourist bungalows and
