McLeodganj

McLeodganj is a colourful little town, a perennial den of tourists. It is steeped in Buddhist culture and is best known as home of the 14^th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso.

Kangra Valley
This capital city of the Katoch dynasty leaves memories of its glorious past. The name itself spells a rich history, making it a destination par excellence. Surely worth a visit is the Tashijong Monastery having links from the Kham region in Tibet.

Lahaul Valley

"A rough cut emerald in a bronze & silver setting", Lahaul is a  land of abundance in the otherwise starved region.  The local deity worshipped here is Kelang Wazir, a Tibetan God.
