Travel Facilities at Kangra
¤ Transport
Train :Pathankot is the
nearest broad gauge railway station. From Pathankot runs the narrow
gauge line to Jogindernagar via Palampur. Palampur is about 5km away
from the station of Moranda on this line.
Road : It’s much easier to get to Palampur by road. It is
265km from Chandigarh (via Nangal, Una, Kangra) taking about 5 ½
hours; 535km from Delhi, 10 hours. There are overnight deluxe buses
from ISBT, Delhi.
Several state buses leave for Dharamsala from Palampur. You can
conveniently board one from the Nehru statue at the top of the main
street.
