Trekking
Lahaul is a trekker’s paradise with the Grand Himalayan Trek
being the most popular route.
Another recommended trek is the one across the Pin–Parvati Pass
into the Chandra Valley.

Tandi–Keylong–Jispa–Patseo–Suraj Tal–Baralacha
La–Tokpoyongma–Topo Kama–Chandra Tal–Batal–Chhota
Dara–Chhatru–Hamta Pass–Hamta–Manali.
Darcha to Manali
Darcha–Keylong–Gondhla–Sissu–Koksar–Manali.
Jispa/Darcha to Padum (in Zanskar, Kashmir)
Jispa/Darcha–ChhalangTokpo–Zanskar–Ramjak–Chhumiknakpo–Lakong–Kargyak–Kuru–Teta–Kalbok–Mune–Padum.
¤ River Rafting
The Chandra River rushes furiously across the moonscape of Lahaul
and has been used for river running. Rafting in this river is no
cakewalk, it takes balls of steel.
¤ Mountaineering
Lahaul offers many promising peaks that trained mountaineers could
try scaling. The Mulkila group and the peaks of Chandra Bhaga are some
of the virgin peaks in the area. The Chandra Bhaga group is a solid
mass of rock and ice encircling the most hostile terrain on earth.
Unconquered peaks are also found near the Bara Shigri Glacier and at
the headwaters of the Parbati River.
