Jamshedpur is an important city in the state of Jharkhand. Blessed with sublime nature is also the first city in the state of Jharkhand to be planned and developed and as such is an important part of the union. The city owes this credit to the Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata who is credited to have created the industrial image of the city and developing it as an industrial nerve center with Tata Steel. However, there have been thoughts that the city is only an industrial Hub. Jamshedpur Tourism offers tourists nature in its sublime form and apart from the perception that comes from Hardened industrial terrain and operations that are normally associated with Jamshedpur. Located in the Chotta Nagpur Plateau, consists a wide wide variety of natural resources, coal iron ore, Manganese, and basks in the sublimes of natural beauty.

Nature is also an important part of the city of steel. The popular natural attraction of the city includes that of Kharkai and Subarnrekha that are beautiful and come with picturesque and fertile lands. The other places include the Dimna and the Hudco Lake that is located within the city and are a perfect destination especially for those who wish tranquility from the deafening madness. The Jubilee Park is also an important part of the city of Jamshedpur and is visited by tourist for the natural ecosystem that has been well preserved since the park officially opened to the public in 1956. The Dorabji Tata [park is also a popular tourist spot especially for tourists that visit the place. The Dalma Wildlife sanctuary is a settlement for wild animals and a variety of flora and plantations. The TELCO Bhubaneswar temple located at 500 feet has an ambience that is apt for spiritual recollection and mediation and a rejuvenation spot. Apart from that, the heavy industrial and steel industries are setup here. One of India’s premier business schools the XLRI is located in Jamshedpur city.

The weather in Jamshedpur is temperate and at the same time subject to various variations. The summers are hot and humid but at the same time temperatures in the not as severely cold but the temperatures can fall to as low as 6 degrees. The monsoons season is subject to inclement weather and heavy rainfall and as such, tourist should avoid visiting during the months of July to September. The best time to visit Jamshedpur is from October to March. Festivals are celebrated with pomp and fervor and another attraction is the Flower festival that attracts tourists every year in December.

Getting accommodations in Jamshedpur is not a problem as such, as there are adequate rooms throughout the year. The rush season starts in the November and ends with the flower festival in the month of December. Hence, tourists visiting this time in particular need to pre book reservation for their stay.  There are basic as well as luxury accommodations that cater to the needs of the requirements of the consumer and also come with the amenities and facilities.

Travelling in Jamshedpur is not much of a problem as the city has a well-developed transports system that consists of the best roads and choice of transport options. Getting to Jamshedpur is also not a problem as there are frequent train and as well as flights services form all major cities in the country.

Jamshedpur is more than just the steel city that it is known for. The efforts of the caretakers of the city to preserve that natural ecosystem form vices like afforestation and rapid industrialization is what is the highlight of the city. Hence travelers and tourists are offered a confluence of nature and modernity that equally co exist of which there is a sincere effort.  Hence tourist are sure to find relaxations and solace of well earned holiday at Jamshedpur.
