¤ Hotels & Restaurants

Accommodation in Gwalior is limited, so book in advance, especially if you are coming here in the tourist season. Apart from the hotels mentioned below there are also several budget hotels like the DM Motel (near New Bus Stand), Midway (MLB Road) and Bhagwati (Falkar Bazaar).
Check with the tourist information office. The budget hotels usually have a home-like atmosphere and are quite clean, although they serve only Indian food.

One basic rule that you can follow while travelling anywhere in India is to go for the state tourism hotels. They are usually clean, with good food, a friendly service and are priced reasonably. However, they are also usually booked well in advance, so keep that in mind.
