The places to see in Banswara are:
Mahi Dam- This dam is located at 18 kms from Banswara in Rajasthan. The dam is located on the placid environment despite that fact that there are a number of dams and various canals and tributaries built over the Dam. Apart from the dam there is a garden worth visiting and as such tourists can experience the quaintest and the quietest settings. The Mahi dam has also a number of dams and islands and intervals and hence the town has the name Banswara that is known as city of hundred islands.
Anand Sagar- The Anand Sagar Lake is situated on the eastern side of Banswara. Though it brims with an effervescence of naturality this is a artificial lake that is said to be built by Lachi Idar the Rani of Maharwal. Near the lake is situated the royal chhatras or the cenotaphs of the royal rulers of the state. This region is also known for the Kalpavriksha that is the holy tree. The belief is that tourists who come and pray here will have their wishes fulfilled.
Arthuna Stone temple- This area is known for a cluster of temples of Hindu and Jain temples dating back to the period between 10 to the 15th century and also regarded as a marvel of architecture. Although most of the monument and the architecture is in deplorable condition the temple is also known as Nilkantha Mahadeo temples. This ancient temple is known for the architecture and the intricate carvings and the sculpted figures that still remains and exhibit the Highmark of architectural styles. There is also known for the sculpture of the bull Nandi that stands at the main entrance of the temple. There are also the ruins of an old jain temple known as Digambar Jain temple also known as the Arthuna stone temple. From the particular place they were found as many 49 idols in the Padmasana and Khadgasna posture.
Madareshwari Shiv temple- This is also situated on the eastern part of Banswara. The temple is situated in natural cave and offers an impressive and awe inspiring view of the scene and quaint beauty around. The natural cave also has a Shiv temple that is located. Nature can be experienced in its full and sublime bloom. It provides an Amaranth feeling to the travelling tourist.
Talwara- Talwara is also a place that is gained importance as an historical and prominent place whose origins date back to the times. The place is known for the Laxmi Narayan temples as well as the Gorakeshwar Madhav temples as well as Jain temples. These monuments exhibit the convergence of architectural style and also the distinctive styling of the cenotaphs of the Chhatras that is well decked with colorful decorations. Paraheada- This is situated at 22km and is famously known for the Shiva temple dating back to the 12th century.
Ramkhund- This is a cave situated in a deep cave situated under a hill. There is a legend about the hill that Lord Rama stayed here during the years of his exile.
Bhim Kund- This place is also believed to be the place where the Pandavas lived during the years of exile.
