The large Shikkara of the temple is also an architectural marvel. There is chowk in front of the main temple that is opened and on either side there is a verandah. The fair gets an annual footfall of close to 2, 00,000 visitors per year. The ritual of Kanak- Dandotis is staunchly and strictly forward by devotees. Devotees cover long distance on foot or either on bended knee lying prostrate. Devotees endure the rigors of their observances without food or water. Groups of the Mina tribesmen perform in dance and song creating a lively atmosphere for the devotees.
