Situated at a distance of 70
km from Idukki, Munnar is a summer resort of Kerala and is one
of the best places to spend your time. You consider yourself
lucky that you have been given an opportunity to resort in
paradise.
Don't forget to visit Ananmudi, the highest peak in South
India. This is one place where you try out the various
adventurous activities. Feel the splash of water at Attukad
water falls. Post Lunch, we would visit Eravikulam Wildlife
Sanctuary.
Established to protect Nilgri Tahr, Eravikulam was notified a
national park in 1978. Now the park has the largest known
population of Tahr's existing in the world. The park also
shelters Atlas Moth, Elephants, Sambhar's, Gaurs, Lion-tailed
Macaque, Nilgiri, Langur, Tigers and Leopards.
Late evening we would start our trip to Thekkady, Situated
125 kms, it is a 3 hr drive from Munnar to Thekkady. Arrive in
Thekaddy and get in hotel. Try out the delicious South Indian
food in your dinner. Unlike your South Indian food have more
of rice products and traditionally they use coconut oil to
cook food.
