Open your eyes in your
luxurious suite and feel like a Maharajah. Your tea is served

rich breakfast included with lots of Rajasthani delicacies is
awaiting you in the dining lounge. After breakfast we would
get into the car and start our visit to Bikaner. This semi
desert city is famous for its magnificent forts , palaces and
temples. You would get the best riding camel here. First we
would go to Junagarh Fort the prime place for tourists in
Bikaner . Built by Raja Jai Singh , this formidable fort has
never been conquered by its enemies and stand proudly till
date. It has so many palaces of different names like Anup
Mahal , Ganga Niwas , and Rang Mahal ( palace of pleasure).
Take pictures while our guide take you on a trip to these
palaces. There is a majestic temple called Har Mandir in the
premises of Junagarh fort especially built for the royal
family. A museum is also located in the Junagarh fort
displaying a large collection of antiques. From there we would
visit to Lalgadh palace , as the name implies , it is a
beautiful red fort built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. You will get
the glimpse of British architecture in the fort. The portraits
of erstwhile Maharajas are kept in the palaces , their
personal belongings and many old stuffs are well preserved
here. The wealth of culture, tradition and heritage , this is
what Bikaner is known for.
We would take lunch in the famous Bikaneri restaurant in the
main market of the city. Bikaner is very popular for its
snacks, specially Namkeen . We would take you one of the work
shop of Bikaneri Bhujiya , this snack is very famous in Indian
and among Indians in abroad. You would see how tasty and
hygienic preparations are made here. After taking some samples
we would take you to the Camel Breeding farms , the largest
and only its kind in whole Asia. Bikaner in India is specially
known for the breeding of best riding camels in the world.
Camel race is very popular in desert area of Rajasthan in
India and Middle East Asia. This farm produce the best riding
camels for these racing in the world. You can enjoy a camel
race here and if you are not hesitant then a cup of camel
milk. Well , It doesnt taste bad.
In the evening we would stroll in the bustling markets of
Bikaner. Once upon a time it was a main trading center for
Asia .Bikaner is famous for its colorful fairs and festival.
You can buy some silver jewelery , Rajasthani paintings ,
leather bags and imitations of art pieces of Havelies on the
clothes. Drive back to the resort. You can go for spa or enjoy
swimming available in the resort to remove the tiredness of
the whole day. Go to your majestic bed after having a royal
dinner in the hotel.

Start your day with a strong
cup of tea and get ready. In the breakfast , you can order
American , continental , French or Indian cuisine , choice is
all yours. After savoring scrumptious breakfast. Start your
trail of forts and palaces in Chittaurgarh , the gem of Mevar.
Every wall in Chittaurgarh has a story of gallantry of
Rajputs. Their patriotism, passion and pride for thier land is
reflecting every where. The tales of romance and gallore
echoes in every closet of Chittaurgarh , unique to the
Rajputs. Our first visit in the Chittaurgarh would be the
ruined edifice of great historical and architectural interest,
being the most massive monument in the fort of Chittaur. This
is the very palace to which a great story of valor ( jauhar)
performed by Queen Padmini and other women is associated. Our
guide would narrate you the stories of glory of Rajputs. There
is no surprise you would encounter with such kind of tales at
every step in the city . These tales are sung by locals in
their folk songs and crammed by even children. While visiting
these forts and palaces many of the folk dancers and
performers would surround you. You can sit and watch their
performance and take photographs also.
From there we would visit other places which includes Padminis
palace , a magnificent one , built beside a pool and Kumbha
Shyam temple followed by Kalika Mata temple. Lunch would be
taken in a renowned Rajasthani Bhojnalaya ( Eatery). After a
relish food , time to stroll around the city streets and reach
at Kirti Stambh. This is a 22 m high tower built in 12th
century A.D. dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankar Adinath
ji. The tower is decorated with Jain pantheon. From there we
would visit Meera Bai temple , dedicated to the great devotee
of Lord Krishan . There are stories of Mira Bai the legend ,
which would be explained by the temple priest and locals of
the place. In the evening we would visit Jaimal and Patta
palaces, the ruined of palaces of Rathore Jaimal and Sisodia
Patta , witness of the gallantry of these great warriors.
Drive back to the hotel in the night. The sapid dinner would
be provided in the hotel. Overnight stay at Chittaurgarh. |
