» Day 01 : Delhi

Welcome to Delhi. Your flight would land on Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) , New Delhi. Our executive would be eagerly waiting for you and would be honored to hold your name in the placard ( please look for him in the main arrival lounge). As soon you would meet him, we are sure all your anxieties would vanish. He would be helpful and would properly guide you and transfer you and your baggage safely to the hotel.

» Day 02 : Delhi

This is going to be an exciting day for you as you are going to board the heritage train of India - Palace on Wheels. You have to report at the cantonment area, New Delhi at 16.00 hrs.Our executive would be present and he would help you out in providing all the facilities and services.The train would depart at 18.30 hrs and you would be given a traditional Indian welcome before boarding the train.

The ambiance of the train would be totally new to you. The intrigue interiors and services provided by Palace on Wheels are indeed unique and would enable you to feel the regal era of Maharaja. The train gives an opportunity to experience the princely hospitality on a moving royal train. 'Palace on Wheels' as the name suggest is a actually a living heritage hotel on chugging wheels. The train provides an unmatched ambiance and comfort as well. This is going to be the first day and we are sure you are going to love week long journey on the moving heritage.

» Day 03 : Jaipur

On the second day, we would reach Jaipur. Here we would be greeted by caparisoned elephants and strains of the Shehnai. The train will halt for some time and we would have our breakfast at a famous heritage hotel. We would be provided a lucury coach which would cover all the magical tourists spots of Jaipur namely Hawa Mahal, Amber fort and City Palace. First we would cover Hawa Mahal and City Palace and then later move to Amber fort which is 11 kms from the city. Here an elephant ride up to fort would make your journey exciting.

Post Lunch, we would cover Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II . From Jantar Mantar, we would board our coach and directly move towards train. You would get a good sumptuous dinner on train.

» Day 04 : Jaisalmer

The train slowly and steadily moves towards yet another destination Jaisalmer. On the golden sands of Rajasthan, this city tends to form an amazing image of desert life. Founded by Rawal Jaisal, Jaisalmer invokes great images of heritage past. At around 0830 hours, after breakfast, we would leave our train for a sightseeing tour. The tour involves exploration of magnificent havelis. These havelis are perfect example of exquisite craftsmanship and is great part of Rajasthan heritage.

We would have our lunch either on train or in a heritage hotel depending upon time and availability. The second half of this day is going to be quite memorable as you would get involved in a camel safari on Sam Sand dunes. Camel safari would enable you to discover the forlorn grandeur of the deserted city.

Later in the evening, we would take you to a heritage hotel where some cultural programs would be held. These cultural programs would involve dance sequences from various part of Rajasthan. Would have your dinner in the hotel and then leave for the train that would depart for Jodhour

» Day 05 : Jodhpur

Next morning, Palace on Wheels would reach Jodhpur at 07.00 hrs. This city is quite famous for housing high stonewall with seven gates and several bastions. It is the second largest city of Rajasthan and houses grand palaces like Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and the Phool Mahal. We would have our lunch in one of the best heritage hotels in Jodhpur and then venture out to shop some exquisite craftsmanship of Jodhpur which would include breeches, embroidered shoes, metal curios, silverware, paintings and tie and dye fabrics. We would resort back to Palace on Wheels and our dinner on board. The train departure is scheduled at Departure15.30 hrs.

» Day 06 : Morning: Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambhor)

The train steadily chugs into the terrain of Rajasthan better known as Sawai Madhopur known for housing a national park. Sawa Madhopur was named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. After breakfast, we would set out to explore Ranthambore national park located in the ruins of a 10th century fort. Spanning over an area of 392 sq kms, the park is famous for housing more than 300 species of birds. The national park is quite famous as a Tiger reserve and is under Project Tiger scheme of India.Here a morning jeep safari would give you a full view of the park and would enable you to glimpse into the wilder region of Sawai Madhopur.We would explore Jogi Mahal and other important tourists spots of Rajasthan. You would not understand how the time would pass and you would again move back to board Palace on Wheels. The train would depart on the same day at 10.30 hrs for Chittaurgarh. Your food would be served on the train itself.

» Day 06 : Chittaurgrh

On the same day, we would reach Chittaurgarh. We would have our lunch on the train itself. and then venture out to explore another city of valore. This city holds an important place in Rajasthan map and cannot be left out without exploration. We would visit the Chittaurgarh fort. The fort is quite magnificent. Don't forget to take your camera along as you will get plenty of spots which you would like to capture. Later in the evening, we would board our train and our food would be served. If you want you can try out the bar on the train. It serves Indian liquor and variety of scotch, wine and cocktails.

» Day 07 : Udaipur

By 7:30 AM , we would arrive at Udaipur, better known as the City of Lakes. The two famous lakes are the Pichola Lake and the Udai Sagar lake. We would have a boat ride on Pichola lake to City Palace. This would give you a chance to view heritage amidst the mother nature. We would visit Jag Niwas and then later resort to the train where our dinner would be served.

» Day 08 : Morning Bharatpur

In the morning, we would visit Bharatpur bird sanctuary at 06.30hrs. This sanctuary is famous for housing number of migratory birds like spoonbills , storks, egrets, herons, pelicans, ebis and grey herons. We would depart Bharatpur at 11.45 hrs for Agra.

» Day 08 : Agra

We would reach Agra by 14.30 hrs. After breakfast, a luxury coach would take us to explore Taj Mahal, an epitome of love. Constructed by Shahjahan, Taj Mahal is one of the most visited and photographed sights of the world.

We would also explore Agra Fort, which at adistnace of 2 kms from Taj Mahal. Post lunch, we would do some shopping in Agra and then resort back to our train. We would have our dinner in train and would relax at night.
