Nestled in the north eastern part of India, Agartala is a scenic and lively hill station that is picturesquely located and shares an international border with Bangladesh. This is the administrative capital of the state of Tripura however for an onlooker the city has a charm and beauty that is retained despite the fact that it houses the seat of power. However this is not something new but has been part of the state for almost a century known from the early times of the princely start to its present State. The city offers a good balance of hills, forest and rivers and at the same time the hustles and the habitations of city. The weather in Agartala is moderated all through the year and as such the best time is between Octobers to March. Within these months offers cools and pleasant weather. The month of April in particular is also pleasant and is also the time when the holiday season begins for schools and through the country.
In terms of transport as well Agartala is well connected with rail heads and road transport. Reaching Agartala by air route is also not a problem as the city is well connected with flights to major cities. There are also many ways of travelling within the city. Being a pilgrimage center the only time when there might a break in accommodation bookings is the month of September and March. Otherwise there are both economy there are also a comfort accommodation available for tourists.
