Menon Pistons was established in 1969. The company manufactures pistons for small diesel engine manufacturers as for LCVs and HCVs. It manufactures aluminium alloy pistons, piston pins, and piston rings for passenger cars, heavy and light commercial vehicles, heavy duty diesel engines for power generation and earth movers, compressors, etc. Its customer list includes Kirloskar Cummins, Telco, Bharat Earth Movers, Maruti Udyog, Mahindra & Mahindra, Escorts, Eicher Tractors, etc. The company has received the ISO 9002 certification. During the year ended March of 2012, sales at Menon Pistons Limited were INR 1.65 billion (US$30.08 million).
