SKS Microfinance Limited (SKS) is a non-deposit accepting non-banking financial company. The Company is engaged in the business of providing loans and does not maintain inventory. It is engaged in providing microfinance services to women in the rural areas of India who are organized as joint liability groups (JLG). The Company provides individual loans to the existing members as a loan against property for a tenure ranging from three to five years. The Company has also tied up with insurance companies to act as group insurance manager for providing life insurance to its members. It has mobile finance program, which offers its borrowers mobile phones at a lower price with the option of paying in small installments. Its Sangam store lending enables Sangam store owners to buy, from a wholesale vendor, fast-moving consumer goods and groceries.
