Ballard Bunder Gatehouse Navy Museum was established and started in the year 2005, it is the first modern museum dedicated to Mumbai's illustrious maritime history. It's housed in a yellow stone gateway that was once lost behind a high wall after the Indian Navy took over the dockyards. The Ballard Bunder Gatehouse Navy Museum is filled with old black-and-white photographs, compasses, and intricate wooden models of ships and boats built by the Wadia family, once a famous Bombay shipbuilding dynasty. It is closed on every day except public holidays from 9am to 7pm.
