Samsung Galaxy SIII and Tab II prices cut

Samsung a leader in android devices in the Indian market seems to be facing the heat from its nearest market rival market Apple. According to latest statistics published it seems that Apple has been able to increase its sales in the Indian market courtesy extensive advertising, marketing campaigns as well as tie-ups with mobile operators. The company has also started selling its devices like the iPhone5, iPhone 4S and iPhone4 with easy monthly installments (EMI).

Hence Samsung Galaxy III and Tab II gets a price cut in order to facilitate buying among prospective consumers. These two flagship devices from Samsung will now be available at prices that are much lower than their cost price. For instance the 16 GB version Samsung Galaxy SIII which is officially priced at Rs 29,480/- will now be available at price of Rs 27,499/-. The price of the device may also vary depending upon the color. The Samsung Galaxy SIII, dubbed the world best smart phone was launched at Rs 43,000 and recorded 30 million sales world over. The first price cut of the phone came in December 2012 when the devices price was cut by Rs 3000/-.
Galaxy Note II successor to the Galaxy Note was launched at a price of Rs 39,900. The device would now be officially priced at Rs 35,600. Online sellers on the other hand are selling the device at a price of Rs 34,900/-. However it is not only Apple phones that stand as competition to Samsung in the Indian market Samsung also has to contend with devices like the  Nokia Lumia 920,HTC Butterfly and the newly launched Blackberry Z10.

Many small time companies are also gaining ground in the domestic market. For example Mircromax Canvas has been able to garner a considerable amount of interest especially among a section of users. This can be clearly seen as Samsung’s move to buckle up and face the impending competition in the Indian market.
