Samsung to drop lawsuit seeking ban on Apple Goods

Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung said on Tuesday that it is would drop all law suits filled seeking the ban of Apple Incorporated products across Europe. This decision of the company came a day after a federal judge denied a legal request by Apple to ban Samsung smart phones in the US. Samsung and Apple the world’s largest smart phone manufacturers have been gridlocked with patent issues in as many as 10 countries over the last 18 months. On Tuesday Samsung said that it was dropping an attempt to stop the sale of Apple Products in Germany, France, Italy and the Netherland which are the major European markets.  However the company did not mention anything as to halting its prolonged court battle for compensation. “Samsung remains committed to licensing technologies on fair, reasonable and non discriminatory terms and we certainly believe that it is better when companies compete fairly in the market place rather than in court,” the company said in an official statement.
