Tendulkar ends Ranji career with a win
Sachin Tendulkar ended  his Ranji career today (Wednesday) guiding his side Mumbai to comfortable win against Haryana at Lahali. This was Mumbai’s opening encounter of the Ranji trophy 2013-14 season.

The Maestro’s unbeaten knock of 79 runs ensured the visitors achieved the required target of 39 runs on the final without any loss of wickets. Tendulkar who resumed play on 55 scored six boundaries in his 175 ball knock. He along with medium pacer Dhaval Kulkarni added  an unbeaten partnership of 50 runs for the seventh wicket.

Sachin earlier announced that this match would be his final Ranji trophy game and he used it warm up for the upcoming West Indies series. Sachin also announced his retirement from test match cricket last month. Incidentally this Ranji trophy encounter was keenly watched from the start itself.

Tendulkar had got out cheaply in the first innings, bowled by Mohit Sharma for five runs. However he displayed grit and determination thus ensuring that his side crossed the line and he ended his Ranji career on a high.
