Agnigarh- This tourist destination remains as the poster picture of the city of Tezpur. This place has deep historical roots and as such is the most revered and visited places. The name Agnigarh is derived from the popular belief of the locals that the place where King Bana Kept his daughter Usha. For the protection of the princess a firewall was secured around that of the place and hence it is called Agnigarh or the House surrounded by fire. Tourists from all over visit this place more so today for the immaculate and unadultered scenic beauty and ecosystem. From the top of Agnigarh Tourists can have a glimpse of the Brahmaputra Rivers as it flows.  The entrance to the place is adorned with clay pillars that look fresh and at the same time is also has two guards that lead all the way this wonderful and quaint location.

Mahabhairab Temple- This temple is one of the main important tourists spot and at the same time is an place of pilgrimage. This temple is also said to be built by the great King Bana. It is also considered as one of the best pilgrimage destination in the state. Filled with an ambience of prayer and ardent fervor the temple is one most serenest and well suited places for prayer meditation and as is sort by many and a penitential place.  Pilgrims and tourists alike also visit the temple and in particular the stone phallus or the Shivalingam of the temple that is considered as one of the largest of its kind.

Da- Parbatia- This temple is situated a few from the main city of Tezpur.  This is also one tourists attraction points and the reason for this is the scriptural work that is found in the temple. Situated on a elevated platform the temple is serene and quaint with lush green surroundings that are certainly a consolation and treat for visitors. Most of the temple offers an ambience for devotion and re orientation that  is most see ken of by visitors and pilgrims alike. Bamuni Hills- The Bamuni hills are located a few kilometers from the main city of Tezpur and as such is an important place to visit and is also an idealistic picnicking spot.  The hillock offers the best and the sublime natural beauty that has a quaint ambience of tranquility that is better experienced than put down in to words.  The other characteristic feature of the Bamuni hills is the sculptural ruins that are found here.  According to experts the ruins at Bamuni Hill date back to the life and the time the Gupta Period 9 and 10th century AD. But there some stone carvings that date back even to the early as the 4th century. Despite the ruins being visited by tourists, they been well preserved and protected in all possible manners. The ornate stone carvings of Lord Krishna though scattered around the place have stood long in the all conditions and remains as fresh as ever.

Chitralekha Udyan- The Chitralekha Udyan also known as Cole Park is one of the most picturesque and embellished tourist destinations in Tezpur. It is also one of the most favored and established  under the British rule this park is named after the commissioner who permitted the construction of the same. What make this place different form that of the other Udyan is that it is a fitting example of the Victorian era. The efforts have also been directed to improve and keep alive the same settings like the well manicured gardens and the style of construction like the mountain sculptures are preserved to retain that distinctive Victorian feel, that is often lost and not preserved as it should be.

Hazara Pukhuri- Sprawling over an expanse of 70 acres the Hazara Pukhuri is renowned to be the second largest water body. The banks of the Pukhuri (name for lake in Assamese) are a perfcet and idealistic place to spend time and are also ideal for picnic spots.

Nag Shankar temple- This temple was built as part of the efforts and unwavered devotion of king Naroshankara who was an ardent follower of the Lord Shiva and who dedicated this temple. This devotion continues among the many pilgrims that visit this temple faithfully and with ardent and devout fervor that extends beyond the boundaries of even the city of Tezpur or the state of Assam and whole through India. The ambience of the environment is filled with devotion and is sacrosanct. Pilgrims can soak in a mystic feel of the entire environment while they are in the temple.
