Vansda national Park
This national park is one of the most protected and at the same time preserved natural habitats in the city of Surat. In former times before independence the park served as the private getaway of the Maharaja of Vansada. After independence the Vansada national park was nationalized. The area is sprawls a wide area and is the rich habitat of the leopards, deers, spotted cats, tigers, the giant squirrel. This is also the unique habitat of the four horned antelope which is also seen here.
There are also a number of endangered species also in the park for which tourist and wildlife enthusiast need to secure an necessary permission from the District forest officer. The national park is a truly a habitat of wellness and offers travelers a good chance of viewing wildlife.
