Gulbarga Fort- This fort though its bears a look of forlorn or desolation is one of the most imperative parts of the history and important tourist destination for those visiting.  This an archeological point of understanding as the ruins dates back to the times of the Asoka Era. This was the bastion of the first Sultan Raja Gulabchand. The sultanate of the region maintained a longstanding strife with the ruler of Vijayanagar. Built in the 13 century this fortress is a class work of architecture with 13 towers with large temples, Store places that stored weapons and ammunition and at the same time the large courtyards that were once a part of the grandeur of the sultanate. The present structure bears a look of dejection and has been subject to the various elements. But to the travelers and visitors alike it is a sign of the glorious past that continues to live in the monuments and is felt by every person here. The present monument is under the care of the Archeological Society of India. This body takes care of the excavation, restoration and maintenance of the entire structure in all possible ways. The effort has been not only to retain the monuments but also to ensure that they are best preserved and revamped.  The other must visit spots within the fort of Gulbarga that sprawls a vast space of land includes an abandoned Vishnu temple Juma Masjid, Horse stables and cannons  and also tombs of the  Sultan Mirza and a catacomb  that is the final resting place for Feroz Shah and his family.

Sannathi- This is one of the most revered and at the same time largest sites in terms of worship.  The place is known for the number of Buddhist Stupas that are situated in the city.  These stupas date back to the times of the rule of the Satvanhas and their also various inscription in and around the temple that assert and collaborate this fact. In the premises of the temple there is also a temple dedicated to the Goddess Durga that dates back to the 11th century.  Apart from the various inscriptions there are also various reliefs within the vicinity that depict divine art. For instance in one of the slabs there is drawing on the birth of Lord Buddha, on another there is a foot print and on another there is a painting of the tree of enlightenment.  Apart from that there are also other slabs that were using in the bathing ghats for bathing.

Sharana Basaveshwara temple- This temple dedicated to the late reformer Sri Basaveshwara is one of the places that tourists can visit while on visiting Gulbarga. The temples in Karnataka are distinctive for the confluence of the architectural style. This temple too bears this distinctiveness with Maratha style of architecture.  The temple also houses the Samadhi of the saint and the reformer.  The architecture of the facades and the interiors of the temple are adorned with carvings of elephants, peacocks, garuds, Nagas and flowers and plants.  This temple is also called the epicenter of the Dashoa culture.

Dargah Library- For those who like being with books and manuscripts. The Dargah library offers a vast and the most conclusive list of literature and books numbering to almost 10000 and has books specifically in Urdu, Persian and Arabic.

Jumma Masjid- This is also one of the oldest mosques in the south of India.  The Jumma has striking resemblance to the mosque of Cordoba that is located in Spain. Jumma Masjid was built by the Muhammad Bahmani. There are 68 domes in the structure of the temple.  The style of architecture is also Persian with silted domes and  narrow doors.

Khawja Bande Nawaz Dargah- This is also one of the holiest Muslim shrines in the city of South India. Built in Indo- Sarascenic style the mosque bears the tomb of the revered Muslim patriarch, Syed Mohammed   Gesu Daraz.  The mosque is typical of Bahamian architectural style and is adorned with Italian and Turkish frescos that adorns the walls that adds further sheen to the interior of this place of worship. Irrespective of devotes of tourists the mosque is flocked by travelers and the most heartening of all these is that people of different religions flock to the mosque.
