Gulbarga / Sharana Basaveshwara temple
This temple dedicated to the late reformer Sri Basaveshwara is one of the places that tourists can visit while on visiting Gulbarga. The temples in Karnataka are distinctive for the confluence of the architectural style. This temple too bears this distinctiveness with Maratha style of architecture. The temple also houses the Samadhi of the saint and the reformer. The architecture of the facades and the interiors of the temple are adorned with carvings of elephants, peacocks, garuds, Nagas and flowers and plants. This temple is also called the epicenter of the Dashoa culture.
