Sri Krishna temple and mutt

Sri Krishna Temple is also and regarded among one of the seven places of pilgrimage. The temple holds the faith and the observance of thousand of devotees who flock to the temple in search of spiritual reorientation and to attain favors and graces for which they cone form all over the country. The unique feature of the temple is that the deity can only be worshipped by a hole and the nine vents that are made especially for this purpose. The windows that are used for the glimpse or the darshan of the deity is fashioned in silver and at the same time is also is named as Navgraha kitikki. The tradition of getting a glimpse of the deity through the window has been a pious and followed tradition that has been followed since the time the temple was opened to the public for veneration. Apart from this Udupi is also famed for Sri Madhavacahrya who attributed as the founder of the  Diwta philosophy. There are a number of traditions and ritual observances that are carefully followed in the temple. The seven Ustavas is considered as one of the most scared and important festivals that are oberserved in the temple. The other festivals include Shri Madhav Navmi and Holi.

Apart from the pristine temple dedicated to Sri Krishna there are also many mutts that are associated with the temple.  The main mutts that associated with the Sri Krishna Temple include Sri Plamar Mutt, Sri Adhamar Mutt, Krishanpuram Mutt, Puttige Mutt, and Sirsur Mutt and finally the Kaniyoor and Pejavoor Mutt. This place of worship exudes and ambience of peace and serenity that is divine. The fervor and the devotion that leads individuals to the temple is certainly awe inspiring. It is a powerful submission to the Almighty and the belief providence that epicenter of this temple devotion. This is no way seems to have a point of diminishing
