This monastery is fully carved out of stone. Thak Tok literally means rock roof and is certainly an architectural marvel. Apart from the rock cut façade there are also intricate designs and carvings that are visible both on the exteriors and interiors of the temple. The ceiling of the cave monastery wears a greased look from the lamps that are burned continuously. There are also coins and notes on the sides and the ceiling that were stuck by tourists who visited the place.
