Kurisumala Ashram

The Kurisumala ashram is a catholic monastery situated in Idukki. The catholic monastery combines the elements of Indian approaches to religions devotions to Christian spirituality. This is ashram has attracted monks and the religious who have frequented the hills in search and reorientation and recollection. Fr Bede Griffith is remembered for the Cistercian abbey that was built in 1958.
