Devotees with fervor believe that a dip in the holy and cleansing waters of the Kunds provides cleansing and at the same time heals infirmities and sicknesses.Another popular legend also claims that the River Ganges(Ganga) flows through in these kunds.Lord Karthikeya temple is an important tourist and pilgrimage site. Geographically Wai is surrounded by Seven  Ghats that include Gangapuri, Madhi Aali, Ganpati Aali, Dharmapuri, Brahmanshahi, Ramdoh and Bhimkund.  Wai is also known for the temples that are nestled in these beautiful and imposing ghats. The landscapes of Wai is dominated by the hilllocks, majestic and cascading waterfalls. The main temples and religious places of worship in the city include Chakreshwar, Kaleshwar,Chimneshwar,Kaunteshwar, Ramkund in Ramdoh ghat and Mahalaxmi temple hat are situated at various postions along the seven ghats that adorn the landscape of Wai.
