Mawmluh Caves

This is a spectular natural creation that cannot be missed while on stay on Cherrapunji. One of the longest caves to be found in the Indian subcontinent with an opening that is 10 feet above sea level. The caves have a single way for both entry and exist. The entry is not for the faint of heart. Once inside the cave there is a hush silence and as such tourists can feel this and see the live stone pillars and the mites formation and both the ceilings and the entrance of the cave. Over the years the entrance has caved in due to the extraction of limestone. However this is also a testing experience , patience  is the key while entering and exiting the cave.
