This is one of the most serene and tranquil locations in Uttarkashi. This is one of the fresh water sources in the region. Apart from that the Dodi Tal is also believed to be the place where the birthplace of the Lord Ganesha. Situated at an elevation of 3,048 meters above sea level the Tal of the lake is known for the pine, oak and other deciduous trees of the region. The place is also known as the ecology habitat of the Himalayan trout that is a breed of fish. However the depth of the lake is not known and there are many factors that are largely unknown to the region. Despite the concealed facts the lakes with its pristine beauty and charm certainly enamors the visitor.
