Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited is the developer and operator of APM Terminals Pipavav, India's first private sector port, which has multi-cargo and multi-user operations. The company was incorporated in the year 1996 and is principally engaged in providing port handling and marine services for container cargo, bulk cargo, and LPG cargo. The port handles bulk, container and liquid cargo. In addition, it operates a CFS and also generates revenue from land-related and infrastructure activities. The company has the exclusive right to develop and operate APM Terminals Pipavav. The company is one of the largest container terminal operators in the world and offers the global shipping community its services of 60 ports and 132 inland facilities in 63 countries.
The company came out with an IPO and was listed on BSE and NSE in 2010.
