Birla Academy of Art and Culture

The Birla Academy of Art & Culture at Worli was established in 1966 with the principal objective of fostering the growth of art and culture with emphasis on visual and performing arts. In this time, the Academy has established itself as a centre of cultural, artistic and educational activities.  Birla Academy of Art and Culture maintains a continuous liaison with foreign offices to organize exhibitions of major International relevance. To promote and proliferate both diverse and sustained cultural activities it extends financial assistance to other agencies in organizing programmers on art and culture. Following its conviction to support artists at different levels it organizes Kala Mela every winter with lesser known artists. The organization also organizes illustrated lectures, seminars, summer classes on art and craft for children and art appreciation classes to increase art awareness. It is opened from Monday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
